| John Bos |
| John founded John Bos Associates in 1983 to provide organizational development support and facility planning for non-profit cultural organizations. Clients have included Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, the Providence Performing Arts, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts. More recently, John founded Rural Renaissance, a non-profit presenting organization that brings the performing arts to rural Franklin County, Massachusetts. He is a former member of the TWN board of directors. |
| Neil D. Chrisman |
| A New York resident who spends weekends and summers in the Berkshires, Neil was with J. P Morgan from 1961 until 1993, working in various areas of corporate finance and administration. He has been a Board Member of the Brooklyn Academy of Music since 1979, including four years as Chairman, and a Board Member of Jacob’s Pillow since 1993, serving as Chairman since 1995. |
| Kimberly C. Corkran |
| Kimberly, who resides year-round on Nantucket, served on the board of the Artist’s Association of Nantucket and co-chaired their annual fund-raising auction during that time. Currently in the Marketing and Public Relations Department of Cape Air/Nantucket Airlines, Kim is an experienced fund-raiser and arts advocate. |
| Gerald Freedman |
| Gerald is a director of theatre, television, film, and opera. Some of his theatre credits include Broadway’s A Time for Singing, West Side Story, The Grand Tour, and The Robber Bridegroom. Off-Broadway credits include the original Hair at the NYSF and years as the Artistic Director of the New York Shakespeare Festival and Public Theatre, the Acting Company, and the Great Lakes Theatre Festival. Gerald is presently the Dean of Drama at North Carolina School of the Arts. He has taught at Juilliard, Yale, and Northwestern. He was the first American Director of London’s Globe Theatre. |
| Virginia D. Irwin |
| Since 1966, Ginny has been Director/Actress of the New London (NH) Barn Players. Other positions include Production/Stage Director of the Marseille Opera in France, 1989-1991, and the San Francisco Opera, 1968-1982; Assistant Stage Director of the Metropolitan Opera and Chicago Lyric Opera; and Co-Producer/Artistic Director of Island Stage on Nantucket from 1993 until 1996. |
| John Shaw |
| John Shaw was on the TWN board from 1999 to 2004 and has served as vice president. He has many years of experience as a commercial actor and is a long-time member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Association of Film, Television and Radio Artists. He is a supporter of the arts, primarily on Nantucket and in his winter home, Boca Grande, Florida. John was instrumental in the formation of TWN’s Advisory Council. |
| John Shea |
| John, who is a resident of NYC and Nantucket, is a critically acclaimed actor and director on stage, screen, and television. He has starred with the likes of Bette Davis (Family Reunion), Kate Capshaw ( Windy City), and Jodie Foster (Stealing Home). John has shared the stage with Meryl Streep, Sigourney Weaver, and Molly Ringwald, among others. On television, he won an Emmy for Baby M, playing opposite Jo Beth Williams, and he portrayed the sociopathic Lex Luther opposite Teri Hatcher in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. John won the Jury Award for Best Independent Film at the Seattle International Film Festival for his direction of Southie, a film that was presented at the Nantucket Film Festival. Currently, John can be seen in Mutant X, a hit science fictionTV series. |
| George C. White |
| George, who resides in New York City and Waterford, Connecticut, is the Founder and Chairman of the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center. He is founding Chairman of the Sundance Institute and a board member of RKO Pictures, the Metropolitan Opera Guild, the Arts Business Council, and the International Theatre Institute. He serves as Education Director of the Johnny Mercer Foundation and is currently a member of the Tony Awards Nomination Committee. He has directed numerous Off-Broadway and regional theatre productions and is the recipient of the 1984 American Theatre Association Citation for distinguished service to the theatre. From 1978 to 1992, George co-chaired the Theatre Management Program at the Yale School of Drama. |
| Reid White |
| A part-time resident of Nantucket for over fifty years, Reid is a co-founder and general partner of Quidnet Company, which is engaged in diversified development and venture capital investing. He is a Founding Trustee of the Barrington Stage Company, Trustee of the Symphony Orchestra of Princeton, Trustee of the McCarter Theatre (1978-1987), and President of the Princeton Youth Fund (1975-1985). |
