About the Play:
The Graduate is a hilarious coming of age story about an innocent college grad who is seduced by an older woman. It has been called, "a triumph, rich, full and funny." In this production Bernadette Feeney returns to the stage, after a long hiatus, as the sexy, sultry Mrs. Robinson.
Set in 1960's California, Benjamin Braddock has excellent grades, proud parents and a bright future behind him..now that he's assisted Mrs. Robinson with her zipper and his sexual odyssey begins. When Ben surprisingly falls in love with Mrs Robinson's prissy daughter Elaine who doesn't seem his type, he's not conforming to his parents' wishes to find a decent girl - he's recklessly following his heart no matter where that might lead.
This iconic piece of American pop culture was a huge success in London, Toronto and on Broadway.
The Graduate is directed by Michael Feeney, adapted for the stage by Terry Johnson from the novel by Charles Webb and the screenplay by Calder Willingham and Buck Henry.
