A Kind of Alaska and The Dumb Waiter by Harold Pinter, one of the most acclaimed contemporary British playwrights and winner of the 2005 Nobel Prize for Literature. In A Kind of Alaska, a woman is suddenly returned to life from a 29-year narcoleptic trance, believing herself to be only 16, yet vaguely conscious of having been on a strange journey in a sort of Alaska of the spirit. Featuring Bernadette Feeney, Cheryl Fudge, Frank Moral.

In The Dumb Waiter, the small lift used to transport meals and dirty crockery between floors in restaurants, is at the centre of this tense two-hander. Set in an anonymous basement in Birmingham, two assassins await their instructions and as tension turns towards dark farce, the dumb waiter drones into action delivering ever more exotic culinary requests and, eventually, the go-ahead to proceed with the kill, with a twist. Features Ciaran Byrne and Chris Witte.
