| Membership Our Family of Donors are the people we owe our existence to. Without each and every one off them, this organization would cease to be. Every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
Community theater is a fundamental part of the fabric of a community. It's about fun, building character, challenging yourself, community involvement, learning a new skill, being with other people, working together for a common goal and basking in the glow of the final result. The Theatre Workshop of Nantucket welcomes everyone from the entire Nantucket community to participate. Currently we have children of all ages in our children's drama classes and productions. Our pot luck dinner Armchair Theater readings all winter are a very popular pastime that let adults of all abilities and experience give theater a try in the friendly atmosphere of people's homes. Staged readings and productions from Nantucket Theatrical Productions Short Play Competition allow actors and directors with limited time to fully participate in the theater experience. And of course our summer main stage productions, improv and comedy night combine off island talent we can learn from with our own Nantucket talent crop for extraordinary shows and musicals.
But it all costs a great deal of money and box-office receipts don't begin to cover the expense of it all. It's our underwriters, angels, benefactors, patrons, sponsors, contributors and advertisers who, all together, let the show go on.
