Supporting Theatre Workshop
For 50 years we have brought the magic of live theatre to the community of Nantucket. From Straight Wharf to Bennett Hall to the Methodist Church, we continue to inform, explore and celebrate the human spirit.
But to accomplish this we need your assistance. With our 50th and most successful season behind us, we find we have outgrown our staffing and are taking on a full time Producing Director to help us continue to grow and meet the needs of the theatre and the community. Our children’s programming is being expanded to include improv classes, drama classes and a variety show in addition our summer musical. Interns and volunteer programs need to be created and implemented as well as lighting and stage managing workshops to bring more interested people into the TWN family. On top of all this the new PD will fine tune the marketing strategy and actively pursue new fundraising avenues and much, much more. Meanwhile we’ll continue to bring great programming to both the upstairs off-season stage and the downstairs summer main stage. But to accomplish all this, we need to increase our donations. Please take a moment, that’s all it takes, and give a gift to Theatre Workshop of Nantucket.
A gift of just $50 will pay the phone bill for a month; $100 will buy our paper supplies for the season; $250 will pay for a week of newspaper ads; $500 pays our utility bill; $1000 is a month’s rent and $2500 covers all the marketing expenses for a show, while $5000 underwrites the bulk of the production costs for a show! Whatever fits your pocket book is greatly appreciated to help us continue to produce great theater on the Nantucket stage.
