Michael Frayn's

Noises Off

Called the funniest farce ever written, Noises Off presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called NOTHING'S ON. Doors slamming, on-stage and backstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play.

"The most dexterously realized comedy ever about putting on a comedy. A spectacularly funny, peerless backstage farce. This dizzy, well-known romp is festival of delirium."—The New York Times

"Bumper car brilliance...If laughter is indeed the best medicine, NOISES OFF is worth its weight in Cipro."—New York Daily News

"The funniest farce ever written! Never before has side-splitting taken on a meaning dangerously close to the non-metaphorically medical."—New York Post

"As side-splitting a farce as I have seen. Ever? Ever."—New York Magazine

A staged reading of
Orson Welles'

Moby Dick Rehearsed

It takes a fool or perhaps a genius to adapt one of the greatest American novels for the stage — and Orson Welles was a bit of both. He chased “Moby-Dick” through much of the 1950s.

'CALL ME ISHMAEL'
With these words, a young sailor begins the story of his voyage with Captain Ahab, a man possessed by the single-minded desire to kill the creature that took off his leg - the great white whale, Moby Dick.

Adapted by America's most celebrated stage and screen director, TWN's adaptation of Moby Dick Rehearsed sets one of America's greatest novels in the quintessential venue under the great whale in the Nantucket Whaling Museum, where Ahab leads his crew in their evocation of Nantucket Docks, the great whale ship, and the ocean itself.

A staged reading presented in collaboration with the Nantucket Historical Association.

Jane Condon & Friends

Comedian and mom JANE CONDON lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, but she’s still a nice person. She has two boys. Otherwise everything’s fine. Since she’s from a blue-collar town in Massachusetts, she likes to make fun of Greenwich. The Associated Press has dubbed her “an uppercrust Roseanne” and The New York Times says,  “Condon had the audience cackling, guffawing and in hysterics as she sliced through marriage, husband, kids, politics and other topics.” She loves to tell stories about her adventures (mostly survival tales) with her husband and kids.

Condon was named one of 10 Comedy Best Bets in Back Stage’s annual comedy issue (2001). She has appeared on ABC-TV’s “The View” and Lifetime TV’s “Girls’ Night Out,” FOX-TV’s series finale of “24,” as well as NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”

She is the grand prize winner of the Ladies of Laughter Contest in 2004

She won “Audience Favorite—NY” on NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2007.

And in May 2011, she gave the commencement speech at Wellesley College (her alma mater). You can reach her at www.janecondon.com

Brad Zimmerman

My Son the Waiter, A Jewish Tragedy

In MY SON THE WAITER, A JEWISH TRAGEDY, Brad Zimmerman weaves a bittersweet tale of one man's lengthy, and we do mean lengthy struggle to make it as an actor in New York. Brad's send-ups on his childhood, family, career and misbegotten love life are as warm and poignant as they are hilarious.

To quote Joan Rivers "I've had 3 great opening acts in my lifetime: Billy Crystal, Garry Shandling and Brad Zimmerman. There is no one on the comedy scene quite like Brad Zimmerman. A complete original, Brad has worked with such well known performers as Susie Essman, Brad Garrett, Gabe Kaplan, Norm Crosby, Pat Cooper, Julio INglesias, and perhaps best of all, Brad had the distinction of being George Carlin's regular opening act for the last 3 years of George's life. In addition to headlining all over the country at casino's, theatres, festivals and comedy clubs, Brad has done television and film, including his role as Johnny Sacks lawyer on one of the most decorated television shows of all time: The Sopranos.

Minus 32 Million Words

Written and preformed by Sue Costello from "The Fighter"

Sue Costello, Boston native and acclaimed comic, actor and writer, is excited to perform a long run of her one-woman show “Minus 32 Million Words” in New York later this year after several self-financed workshops.  The show — alternately hilarious and heartbreaking — tracks Costello’s life growing up in a chaotic home in Boston and how it led her to a desperate need for fame and money, and to the final realization that it was all part of a spiritual quest to find her authentic self.

Rave reviews have poured in for Minus 32 Million Words, the show that mixes Costello’s street smart Boston savvy with her ability to bring a room full of patrons to tears —combining her trademark take-no-prisoners cutting wit and a poignant vulnerability. Through her irrepressible spirit and powerful delivery, Sue proves that her past does not have to become her future and shares that hope and joy with her audiences.  The Boston Herald called the show “powerful, thanks to Costello’s frank charisma and her ability to mingle humor with tragedy” and the Patriot Ledger mused that “Costello rivets the audience with a comic’s gift for delivery and wit and an actress’ skill with emotion.”   Kristen Johnston called the show “brilliant and agonizingly funny,” and Kevin Nealon commented, “Great characters, great writing and hilarious delivery.  She is the next Whoopi…only not black.”  Patricia Clarkson agreed, saying "Sue Costello is an incredible talent – I LOVED this show!"

“Sue Costello’s charismatic performance is mesmerizing as you march with her through her teenage years on the Dorchester streets through her life in New York and Hollywood.”

- Colin Quinn

“…a wonderful journey filled with lots of laughter and love.”

- Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara

“Sue’s show was amazing, hilarious, dark and brutally honest, run don’t walk to the theatre!

- Molly Shannon
