TWN Musical Theatre Conservatory

Mentor for 5 weeks with our Professional Resident Company

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work and be mentored under a cast of professionals that love their craft and want to share their time and talents to foster yours, in a completely supportive professional level environment. We have carefully built our Company, to include the best professionals with excellent attitudes by auditioning over 1500 actors and actresses at the NETC’s and Strawhats and selecting each individually for our Summer Resident Company.

This opportunity will build life long friendships and unforgettable memories, and is the stepping stone to a professional career in the performing arts. After interviews and auditions, once accepted into the program you will work with the best of the best in "Musical Theatre" to prepare the Nantucket Premier of "Moby Dick the Musical." You will be matched up with a Professional Summer Resident and they will serve as your mentor and help and assist you to thrive and grow. If you are cast in the company, you will be on stage performing as dictated by your talents, commitment and work ethic. Conservatory members may also serve as Assistant Stage Managers, and running crew for the show when not on stage.

Rehearsals for the Conservatory are Wednesday July 23rd- August 1st with a 10AM start. You will get a blocked out schedule prior to July 1st, but should plan to be available. To properly rehearse the show we will need you committed to the entire schedule. The more you are able to impress the director and the choreographer the more you will be in the show.

Rehearsals for Jack and the Beanstalk, our interactive children’s theatre piece run August 2nd, 3rd and 4th and 6th from noon -4PM. (This is optional for the Conservatory Company, if you make the commitment you will serve as the running crew; assist stage managers, Assistant Technical Directors, Assistant Directors and more...

Theatre Workshops Children’s Drama Camps
July 2007

Kids will explore the art of storytelling as they take the written page to the stage. Through experimental improvisations and games. they will learn the teamwork of creating theater together to create scripts and physical characterizations. Through the process, it will be made clear that theater is a team sport requiring the support of every player. There are no stars...the process is about learning to collaborate and create art as a group. This camp allows equal opportunities for every participant to be as involved as they choose to be.

Children may sign up for one week or all three.

“Theatre works!” is a program developed and designed by Professional Actress and Theatre Educator Tiffany Page, in residency this summer on Nantucket with the Theatre Workshop.
